The woman noticed.
Her expression changed.
She slowly accepted the bag.
“Thank you.”
The little girl took the chocolate bar.
For the first time, she smiled.
Noah smiled back.
“What’s your name?”
The little girl hesitated.
Then she whispered:
“Lily.”
Noah nodded.
“I’m Noah.”
