Chapter 14 - THE HOUSE THAT NO LONGER EXISTEDThe key led them to an old address.
But the house had been demolished years earlier.
Only an empty lot remained.
Noah looked around.
Then he noticed an old stone marker.
The same golden eagle symbol was carved into it.
They dug beneath the stone.
There was a metal box.
Inside were the trust documents.
But before Sarah could open them, a voice spoke behind them.
“You finally found it.”
The man from the black car stood there.
Sarah stepped in front of Lily.
He smiled.
“You should have handed it over years ago.”
Sarah shook her head.
“No.”
The man looked at Noah.
“You have no idea how much this is worth.”
Noah looked at the box.
Then at Lily.
“It's not yours.”
The man laughed.
“Neither is it yours.”

Noah answered:
“That's the point.”
