Chapter 14 - A True Celebration

One year to the day after the disastrous morning in the bridal suite, a private, intimate ceremony was held on a sunlit coastal estate in Maine, far away from the toxic judgment of Boston high society.
There were no two hundred fake guests, no snobbish socialites, and no hidden cameras. Only fifty of our closest, most genuine friends and family members gathered on the green lawn overlooking the ocean.
This time, I wore a breathtaking, custom-designed ivory lace gown created by a designer who knew my mother’s story. As I walked down the grass aisle toward Adrian, who stood waiting with tears of pure joy shining in his eyes, the ocean breeze carried the scent of salt water and pine.
