Chapter 9 - The Wedding by the Sea

On a magnificent, sun-drenched Saturday in June, our wedding was held on the oceanfront lawns of Seaward Manor.
Arbors of cascading white roses, blooming hydrangeas, and trailing sea lavender framed the stone altar overlooking the Atlantic.
Over two hundred of our closest friends, colleagues, maritime engineers, and Harper Ross gathered beneath the clear blue sky.
I walked down the petal-strewn aisle in a custom-tailored ivory silk lace gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves and a cathedral-length veil that caught the ocean breeze.
Julian stood at the altar in an immaculate black tuxedo, his eyes filled with such breathtaking adoration that my heart soared with gratitude.
He took my hands, lifting my veil with infinite gentleness.
"Elena," Julian spoke during his vows, his voice steady and resonant. "You taught me that true strength is born in the light of truth and the courage to love without fear. I vow to honor you, protect you, cherish you, and stand beside you through every sea we sail, for all eternity."
May you like
"Julian," I replied, my voice sweet and clear. "You gave me a safe harbor, an honest partner, and a love that is pure, brave, and unshakeable. I am yours, completely and forever."
When the minister pronounced us husband and wife, Julian pulled me into a passionate, breathless kiss beneath the warm summer sun, while our guests erupted into joyful, standing cheers.
