Chapter 6 - The Sanctuary in Newport

Six months after the annulment, the crisp, salty breeze of the Atlantic Ocean blew across the stone cliffs of Newport.

I purchased a magnificent, historic thirty-acre oceanfront estate known as Seaward Manor. The home featured floor-to-ceiling glass pavilions, restored limestone terraces, and panoramic views of the crashing waves.

The physical bruise on my cheek had healed completely, leaving no mark. But the emotional clarity gained from that dark morning had permanently transformed me into an unshakeable leader.

I reorganized Sterling Horizon into a global pioneer of sustainable community development and ethical corporate governance.

I adopted a rescued Belgian Malinois named Titan, who spent his mornings running along the cliffside trails while I enjoyed fresh roast coffee on the sunlit terrace.

One bright Saturday morning in October, while walking Titan along the harbor docks, the dog suddenly bounded toward a private shipyard where a classic wooden sailing yacht was undergoing hull restoration.

"Titan, heel!" I called out, jogging after him.

Titan stopped beside a tall, broad-shouldered man with sun-bleached dark hair and kind gray eyes who was carefully inspecting the teak deck with a blueprint in hand.

The man turned around, wiping wood stain from his forearm with a warm, genuine smile.

"Well, aren't you a magnificent sailor?" he chuckled, kneeling down to gently scratch Titan’s chest.
