Chapter 9 - The UltimatumVanessa’s expression hardened from anger into absolute, unyielding coldness. She pulled a single document from the leather folder—a formal eviction and restraining order—and slid it across the table until it rested against Victoria’s wine glass.

"Your tyranny in this house ends tonight, Victoria," Vanessa declared, her voice echoing with absolute finality. "This legal notice revokes your permanent residency rights on the estate grounds effective immediately. You have until sunrise tomorrow to pack your belongings, gather your things, and leave these premises."
"You cannot do this to me!" Victoria shrieked, finally losing her composure entirely as she slammed both hands on the table and stood straight up. "I built the social standing of this family! I am the matriarch!"
"You are nothing more than a trespasser living on borrowed time and stolen authority," Vanessa replied smoothly. "And if you are not off these grounds by dawn, the county sheriff will personally escort you out in handcuffs."
