Chapter 7 - The Audit of GreedWith the house temporarily cleared of parasites, I knelt down in the dirt beside Sarah and Jamie. My hands trembled as I reached out, gently touching Sarah’s thin cheek. She flinched, expecting a blow, before looking into my eyes and realizing who I was.

"Ethan…" she sobbed, collapsing into my arms. "You’re really here."
"I’m here," I choked out, tears finally breaking free as I pulled both my wife and son against my chest. "I’m so sorry. God forgive me, I didn't know."
That night, the mansion became a war room. I called Marcus Vance, a fierce corporate attorney and an old military buddy who specialized in asset recovery and financial fraud.
"Marcus," I said without preamble when he picked up. "I need a forensic audit of every account linked to my mother, Gertrude Carter, and my sister, Prudence. I want every property, car, stock, and credit card traced back to my overseas wire transfers over the last five years."

"Sounds messy, brother," Marcus replied, his tone sharpening instantly. "What did they do?"
"They kept my wife and son starving in a service kitchen while living off my remittances. I want them legally dismantled."
