Chapter 9 - The Billionaire’s StandWith Reid Calloway removed and facing federal charges, Evan assumed full control of Mercer Development. He immediately redesigned the entire two-billion-dollar West Harbor project.

Instead of demolishing the historic neighborhood, Evan integrated it into the new development plan. St. Agnes Church was completely restored, featuring an expanded modern soup kitchen, a medical clinic, an after-school tutoring center for local children, and affordable housing units built around a public park.
The grand opening of the new St. Agnes Community Haven took place six months later on a crisp, sunlit autumn afternoon.
Hundreds of residents, city officials, and reporters gathered on the lawn. Standing at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Evan wore a tailored navy suit, looking happier and more content than he ever had in his sleek glass penthouse.
Beside him stood Grace, holding their newborn three-month-old daughter, Lily, wrapped in a soft pink blanket.
The mayor presented Grace and Evan with the Key to the City for their extraordinary philanthropy and community preserve efforts.

When invited to speak at the podium, Evan didn't bring a prepared speech. Instead, he placed the old, dented blue thermos onto the podium in front of the microphones.
The crowd quieted down, looking at the battered blue flask in curiosity.
