The date of the grand wedding arrived precisely one week after the attack, exactly as Logan had planned. St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan was surrounded by hundreds of screaming fans, paparazzi, and global news crews broadcasting live as Logan Vance arrived in a pristine black tuxedo, looking the picture of tragic, heartbroken nobility.
Cameras flashed as he paused on the steps, wiping a calculated, single tear from his eye before speaking to the gathered reporters. “Today was supposed to be the happiest day of my life,” Logan told the cameras, his voice trembling with Emmy-winning emotion. “Instead, I stand here alone, praying for my beloved Maya as she fights for her recovery in a hospital room.
