Chapter 13 - The Night at the DocksThe night of the raid was pitch black, a heavy fog rolling in off Lake Michigan and blanketing the industrial container yards in gray mist.

Christian stood on the second-floor catwalk of Warehouse 4, overlooking the labyrinth of towering steel shipping containers.
Down below, a team of masked operatives hired by Viktor Vance slipped through the perimeter fence, moving with silent, calculated precision toward Container 88—the primary cargo hold containing sensitive microchip blueprints.
Julian stood just outside the fence in a parked black SUV, watching through binoculars with a manic, obsessive smile. Soon, he thought. Everything will belong to me again.
The saboteurs planted a thermite explosive charge on the container door.
"Blow it," whispered the lead operative into his comm-link.
Suddenly, massive overhead floodlights blasted on, turning the dark pier into broad daylight.

Dozens of federal agents and private tactical units swarmed out from the shadows, surrounding the saboteurs from every angle.
"Federal Bureau of Investigation! Drop your weapons!" the lead agent roared.
