Chapter 19 - The Crown|

That evening, the sun set over Lake Michigan in brilliant shades of gold, crimson, and violet.
The victory party at the Lockwood estate was quiet—only Raymond, Naomi, Marcus, and Dr. Vance standing on the glass terrace overlooking the roaring ocean waves.
Raymond stood behind Naomi, his broad arms wrapped tightly around her waist, his chin resting gently on her shoulder as she leaned back against his warmth.
"You ruled that courtroom today, Director Hail," Raymond whispered into her ear, his cologne wrapping around her like a warm blanket.
"I told you," Naomi smiled, turning her head to kiss his cheek. "I don't run away anymore."
Raymond reached into his vest pocket, pulling out a small velvet box, opening it to reveal a breathtaking emerald-cut diamond ring that sparkled like stars under the moonlit sky.
He slipped it onto her left ring finger beside her platinum band.
"Ten years ago, you gave me a handkerchief," Raymond murmured, his voice thick with profound devotion as he raised her hand to his lips, kissing her knuckles. "Today, I give you my name, my empire, and my life."
Naomi looked down at the glowing diamond, tears of pure, overwhelming happiness spilling over her lashes.

"I love you, Raymond Lockwood," she whispered.
"I love you, my Queen," Raymond promised, leaning down to claim her lips in a deep, eternal kiss under the bright blue sky.
