Nora was formally charged with felony reckless endangerment, malicious tampering with consumer products/prescription drugs, and extortion. Because her actions had directly triggered a near-fatal medical emergency, the charges carried significant prison time.
The preliminary hearings moved quickly, driven by the ironclad audio and video proof. Nora’s defense attorney tried to argue psychological distress, but the judge pointed out that faking an illness for two years and then attempting to murder your diabetic sister with premeditation went far beyond distress into calculated sociopathy.
