Chapter 8 - The Unmasking of the TrusteesClaire stepped forward, unzipping her leather briefcase, and laid a stack of certified forensic audit documents directly in front of the magistrate and board members.

âWhile you were planning Mr. Whitmoreâs permanent conservatorship,â Claire spoke clearly and confidently, her voice echoing through the silent room, âwe conducted an independent audit of Whitmore Globalâs offshore accounts.â
She pointed to the itemized wire logs on the screen.
âOver the last twelve months,â Claire revealed, âRichard Whitmore has siphoned eighty-four million dollars from the primary shipping trust into a shell firm in the Cayman Islands. Furthermore, he bribed the previous medical board to falsify Mr. Whitmoreâs neurological reports!â
The board members went wild with rage, slamming their fists on the table!
âThis is a lie! Sheâs just a maid!â Richard shrieked, pointing a trembling finger at Claire. âSheâs a thief from the south side!â
Ethan stepped forward, placing himself protectively in front of Claire, his eyes flashing with icy fury.
âShe is not a maid, Richard,â Ethan growled, his voice dropping like a gavel. âShe is the woman who saved my life, the woman who restored my health, and the future Chairwoman of the Whitmore Medical Foundation.â
At that moment, four armed officers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation stepped into the boardroom, holding arrest warrants.
