Chapter 10 - The True VictoryThe housewarming party was filled with genuine joy, laughter, and a warmth that the estate had not felt in years. Mariana’s friends, her colleagues, and the people who had stood by her during her years of hard work filled the spacious, sun-drenched rooms. There were no hushed whispers, no tense glances, and no arrogant demands.

Mariana stood on the patio, looking out over the manicured gardens. Valeria walked up beside her, raising a glass of champagne.

"To the real queen of this house," Valeria smiled, clinking her glass against Mariana's. "And to the best CEO Ruta Norte will ever have."

"To new beginnings," Mariana agreed, taking a sip. "And to building things that cannot be easily torn apart."

"I heard Alejandro is working in sales back in Querétaro," Valeria said softly, her tone curious but respectful. "His mother is apparently telling everyone he’s doing 'consulting work' to save face."

Mariana laughed, a light, free sound that floated away into the warm afternoon air. "Let them say whatever they need to say to sleep at night, Valeria. The truth has a way of staying exactly where it belongs. I don't hold any anger anymore. Honestly, I should thank Teresa."

"Thank her?" Valeria raised an eyebrow. "For ruining your clothes and insulting you?"

"For showing me exactly who they were before I spent another ten years protecting them," Mariana said, her eyes bright with wisdom. "She did me a favor. She forced me to take back my power."

She had faced the humiliation, she had made her move, and she had swept away the people who sought to diminish her. She was surrounded by love, success, and an unstoppable future. Mariana Vance was finally, truly, home.
