Chapter 10 - Betrayal of Blood

Just as victory seemed within reach, an unexpected blow landed from inside Dominic’s own inner circle. During a routine security audit of the downtown terminals, Marcus discovered that confidential operational blueprints had been leaked to the surviving Morales loyalists—not by an ordinary soldier, but by Julian Russo, Dominic’s own cousin and trusted second-in-command. Confronted in the private library, Julian didn't even attempt to deny it. He sneered, pouring himself a glass of whiskey as he looked at Dominic with bitter envy. “You’ve grown soft, Dominic! Spending your days hiding a broke waitress in the country while our territory slips away!” Julian shouted. “You forgot what built this family! Blood and fear!” Dominic stared at the cousin he had raised and protected like a brother, feeling a deep, agonizing fracture in his chest. Without a single word of hesitation or anger, Dominic stripped Julian of his rank, his weapons, and his protection, casting him out into the cold underworld with a chilling warning: “You are dead to the Russo name. Run while you still can.”
