Chapter 2 - The Watch TransmissionThe shoreline of Key West shrank into a distant blue haze as the Aura sliced through the dark ocean waves.

Daniel stood across from me, holding a thick leather folder containing fraudulent corporate transfer agreements.
âSign it, Arthur,â Daniel sneered, his voice loud enough for the trembling guests to hear. âOnce we hit international waters, accidents happen very easily. A sudden wave, a slip over the railing... nobody will ever find the bodies.â
I looked at him with icy composure. âYou really think youâre in control, Daniel?â
âI own this boat,â he boasted, tapping his chest. âI control the crew. And I own your daughterâs life.â
âWhat you donât know,â I said, lifting my left wrist, âis that this custom watch has been broadcasting a live, uncompressed encrypted audio feed to the United States Coast Guard Sector Key West for the last six minutes.â
Danielâs smug smile faltered. âWhat?â
âThey heard your demand for forty percent of Quinn Marine,â I continued, my voice echoing across the silent deck. âThey heard you confess to trapping Peyton in the cabin. And they heard you threaten to murder my daughter.â
Panicked gasps erupted among the guests!
Danielâs face flushed with a dark, violent rage. He threw his champagne glass onto the deck, where it shattered into a hundred jagged pieces.

âGrab him!â Daniel roared to his two hired personal bodyguards standing near the helm. âThrow his phone into the ocean! Break the watch!â
Before the thugs could step toward me, a deafening thunder rattled the sky overhead.
