Chapter 9 - The New PartnershipThe success of The Horizon Center caught the attention of the state governor.

A year after Vanessa's sentencing, I was invited to the state capitol to receive the Distinguished Service Medal for my work with undercover officers and veterans.

The crowd of officials and officers applauded, a standing ovation that lasted for several minutes.
