Gregory Pierce sat near the head, adjusting his silver cufflinks with smug satisfaction.
"We are here today to vote on the motion to remove Caroline Hayes as Chief Executive Officer," Gregory announced smoothly, "and to finalize our merger with Apex Pharma."
"Before any vote is cast," a firm voice rang out, "the board will review the criminal activity of its minority shareholder."
The double doors swung open. Caroline stepped inside, wearing a striking royal blue suit, accompanied by David Frankel and Elias Pendleton.

"No," Elias said, stepping forward with absolute calm, "but these original audit logs will."
