BURIED BENEATH THE MARBLE / Chapter 10 / 10

Chapter 10 - A New DawnOne year later.

The mountain estate was no longer a cold, silent palace of secrets. It was vibrant, warm, and alive with music, laughter, and light.

It was a bright summer afternoon, and the estate garden was filled with guests celebrating the annual foundation gala hosted by Clara Jiménez. Her mother, now fully recovered and healthy, sat comfortably in the shade, laughing with local community leaders.

Clara walked through the manicured rose garden wearing an elegant dark green silk dress, looking confident, radiant, and deeply fulfilled. In her role as Foundation Director, she had spent the last year establishing shelters, funding medical care for low-income families, and protecting vulnerable people across the country.

Ricardo walked up beside her, holding two glasses of sparkling cider. He handed one to her, his eyes filled with profound admiration and affection.

"A toast," Ricardo said gently, clinking his glass against hers. "To the braves woman I know."

"To new beginnings," Clara replied softly, looking around at the happy faces in the garden.

From the terrace, Doña Leonor watched them with a serene, contented smile. She held a cup of warm tea, watching the sun set over the mountains, painting the sky in brilliant shades of gold and pink.
