Chapter 6 - The Hidden CoordinatesTen minutes later, the bedroom was cleared, guards were posted every five feet along the corridor, and Adrien sat beside me at the study desk downstairs.

Samuel Sterling—the high-profile attorney—sat across from us holding a high-magnification forensic microscope.

He carefully laid the weathered photograph of twelve-year-old me under the lens.

“Your instinct was correct, Lena,” Samuel revealed, adjusting the digital focus knobs. “The scratches over your mother’s face aren't random damage. They are micro-etched numerical strings.”

The image magnified four hundred times onto a large high-definition monitor on the wall.

The scratches clearly spelled out an account number and a physical location:

CHASE BANK - VAULT 412 - 270 PARK AVE, NY KEY CODE: 0714-ELENA

“It’s a private safety deposit box in Midtown Manhattan,” Samuel said, looking up at Adrien. “That’s where Elena hid the master ledger fifteen years ago.”

Adrien leaned back in his leather chair, his dark eyes fixed on the monitor.

“Sokolov knows we have the photograph now,” Adrien stated calmly. “He knows we are going to Park Avenue to retrieve that box. He will have every shooter he owns stationed around that bank tomorrow morning.”

“Then we don't go in secretly,” I spoke up suddenly, my voice firm and clear.

Adrien and Samuel both turned to look at me in surprise.

“What are you suggesting, Lena?” Adrien asked, a hint of dark pride touching his lips.

“If Sokolov wants a war on Park Avenue, let’s give him one,” I said, leaning over the desk, my eyes burning with absolute determination. “We invite Detective Vance and the NYPD Organized Crime Task Force to meet us at the bank. We leak the location to Marcus Blake, let Sokolov’s men ambush the street, and let the federal authorities arrest every single one of them while we take the ledger.”

Samuel let out a low, appreciative laugh. “She’s a Viscari, alright.”

Adrien looked at me, a soft, breathtaking smile breaking across his handsome face. He reached across the desk, taking my hand into his, squeezing it gently.

“You have your mother’s mind, Lena,” Adrien said softly. “Tomorrow morning, we end this war forever.”

That night, for the first time in three years, I slept without terror. I knew that beside me stood a man who would tear down an empire before he ever let anyone hurt me again.
