Chapter 12 - The Iron Net|

CLICK.
High above on the iron catwalks of the grain silo, dozens of tactical floodlights snapped on simultaneously, blinding Vane and his mercenaries in a sea of white light.
Over thirty Costa enforcers, led by Capo Marco, lined the railings above, their rifles aimed down at the trapped Chicago crew.
Dominic Vane gasped, dropping his cigar into the mud, backing away toward his SUV. "What the...!"
"Drop your weapons!" Marco’s voice boomed over a loudspeaker.
The ten mercenaries, realizing they were completely outmatched and surrounded, immediately tossed their guns onto the wet gravel, raising their hands in defeat.
Dominic Vane turned to run, but a sleek black vehicle blocked his exit route.
The passenger window rolled down. Tessa sat inside, holding a digital tablet connected directly to the Federal District Attorney's office.
"Dominic Vane," Tessa spoke smoothly over the vehicle's comms. "Your offshore accounts in Panama were seized twenty minutes ago. The FBI is currently raiding your headquarters in Chicago for international racketeering."
Vane stared at her, his face turning the color of ash. "You... you little rat..."
Vincent stepped forward, grabbing Vane by his collar and slamming him hard against the hood of the SUV.
"I offered you a choice, Vane," Vincent growled into his ear. "You chose war. Now you get the federal penitentiary."

Two minutes later, federal agents—tipped off by Tessa's legal team—flooded the yard, clicking handcuffs around Vane and his men.
The Chicago threat was completely dismantled without a single shot fired.
