Dr. Harrison Vance had been the familyâs chief personal physician for fifteen yearsâthe very doctor who had diagnosed Julianâs "irreversible" childhood blindness at age seven!
"My God..." Alexander whispered, examining the digital logs on the main computer monitor. "Vance wasn't treating Julian. He was suppressing his vision using micro-dampening ocular nodes!"

Alma stepped closer to the screen, reading the encrypted files with uncanny intuition. "Because twelve years ago, when you were seven, you witnessed Dr. Vance committing a crime in this house. They couldn't kill you because your father was too powerful... so they made sure you could never identify them."
