Chapter 8 - The Fall of the House of WexlerThe criminal trial of Nathan Wexler, Victoria Blake, and Emily Blake became the trial of the decade in New York.

With Salvatore Vance arrested as a co-conspirator in an attempted assassination scheme, Nathan faced multiple federal counts of grand larceny, corporate fraud, forgery, and attempted murder.
Presented with ironclad financial paper trails provided by my Zurich trust and Dominic's security team, the jury reached a unanimous guilty verdict in less than three hours.
Nathan was sentenced to twenty-five years in a federal maximum-security penitentiary.
Victoria received eight years for her role in the systematic looting of the charitable trust, while Emily was sentenced to three years of probation, five hundred hours of community service, and was ordered to pay full restitution for every dollar she had stolen—a debt that stripped her of her luxury lifestyle forever.
On the day the sentencing was announced, I stood on the front steps of the Manhattan Federal Courthouse, surrounded by dozens of reporters and news cameras.
"Miss Blake!" a reporter shouted, pushing a microphone toward me. "Now that you hold seventy percent control of the Hudson Yards project and full ownership of the Blake Heritage Trust, what is your next move?"
I adjusted my tailored white coat, looking directly into the primary news camera.
"The Blake Heritage Trust will be officially renamed the Arthur Blake Foundation for Women's Economic Independence," I announced clearly. "We are dedicating fifty million dollars to fund legal defense networks for women facing financial abuse and corporate exploitation."
The crowd broke into wild applause.
As I walked down the steps toward the waiting Maybach, Dominic stood by the open door, holding a single red rose.
I stepped into his arms, feeling the warm, unshakeable strength that had anchored me through the storm.

"You did well today, CEO Blake," Dominic smiled softly, kissing my temple.
"We did well, Godfather," I teased, slipping into the car beside him as the press flashed their final photos of Manhattan’s newest power couple.
