Chapter 10 - BLOCKING THE ENABLERS
As the day progressed, the remaining flying monkeys of the family tried to call and text, attempting to gaslight me into “being the bigger person” and apologizing to keep the family intact. One by one, I blocked their numbers, cleared our social media connections, and closed every digital door they could use to inject their poison into our lives. My phone went delightfully silent by mid-afternoon, marking the first time in my adult life that I wasn't jumping at the sound of a notification from my mother.
