Chapter 3 - The White Rolls-RoyceSaturday afternoon arrived with clear, brilliant sunlight beaming down upon the grand outdoor courtyard of the St. Regis Cathedral Estate.

Over three hundred high-society guestsâcorporate executives, media reporters, politicians, and socialitesâfilled the white floral pews set up on the manicured lawn.
Derek stood at the floral altar wearing a pristine white tuxedo with a black bow tie, his hair styled, his chest puffed out with self-absorbed pride. Beside him stood Vanessa Hail, wearing a ten-thousand-dollar lace wedding gown, a sparkling tiara resting on her styled hair.
Derek glanced toward the back row near the entrance gates, expecting to see Miranda sitting in a quiet corner, looking miserable.
Instead, at 2:15 PM, the heavy iron gates of the estate swung open.
A pristine white Rolls-Royce Phantom pulled up slowly along the cobblestone driveway, flanked by two black SUVs.
The courtyard fell into a sudden, curious hush.
Two towering, suited bodyguards wearing dark sunglasses stepped out of the lead SUV, opening the rear door of the Rolls-Royce.
Miranda stepped out onto the paved stones.
She wore an immaculate, tailored ivory suit that hugged her figure with regal precision, high-end designer heels, dark sunglasses, and carried a beige leather Birkin bag. Her dark hair was styled in a flawless, sophisticated updo. She looked like international royalty.
The guests gasped in astonishment, whispering furiously behind their silk fans.
âWho is that?!â a prominent investor whispered. âIs that an international ambassador?â

Derekâs mouth opened slightly in pure, unadulterated shock. His eyes bulged as he stared at his ex-wife. He barely recognized the woman walking toward the altar with absolute, unshakeable confidence.
Vanessaâs smile tightened into a sharp, furious sneer. âWhat is she doing here?! Who paid for that car?!â
