Chapter 9 - Unmasking the SyndicateSterling stammered, his polished composure completely shattering. “Your Honor... we... our client received this document in good faith—”

“Good faith?” Pete cut in powerfully, stepping toward the center aisle. “Your Honor, we also submit Defense Exhibit B—a forensic digital audit of Drew Meridian Logistics’ internal server, showing that Marcus Drew systematically generated fake loan agreements against three other deceased business partners over the last four years!”
Pete displayed the financial transfers and email logs on the screen, revealing a pattern of deliberate probate fraud used by Marcus Drew to bankrupt small logistics operators and seize their route licenses.
The courtroom exploded into frantic chatter. Journalists in the back row began scribbling furiously in their notebooks.
Marcus Drew stood up angrily from his chair. “This is outrageous! I am the CEO of a multi-billion-dollar enterprise!”
“Sit down, Mr. Drew!” Judge Montgomery slammed her gavel down with a crack that echoed like thunder. “You are in a court of law, not a board meeting!”
She glared at Marcus and Sterling with absolute contempt.
“The claim filed against the Estate of Robert Calloway is hereby dismissed with prejudice!” Judge Montgomery ruled loudly. “Furthermore, based on the evidence of forgery and systemic fraud presented today, I am referring this matter immediately to the District Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for criminal indictment!”
She slammed her gavel down again. “Court is adjourned!”
The gallery erupted into cheers. Sterling dropped his head into his hands, while two bailiffs moved toward Marcus Drew to escort him to the District Attorney’s holding area for questioning.
