Back at the house, the morning routine collapsed in spectacular fashion. Ryan tried to buy breakfast at a drive-thru on his way to the dealership, only for his debit card to be ruthlessly rejected by the terminal. Annoyed, he pulled out his backup credit card—also declined. Frantic, he called Linda downstairs just as she attempted to pay an online boutique charge, discovering her cards were blocked too. When Ryan checked his mobile banking app, he found zero balances across every single account, alongside a formal notification that his authorized user status had been permanently revoked by the primary account holder: Claire.
