Chapter 10 - CONFRONTING THE MASTERMIND
While Clara rested under medical observation, I returned home briefly to coordinate with investigators. My mother had been released on temporary holding conditions pending formal charges, but she had tried to return to the house to retrieve her belongings. I met her at the front door, holding a box containing her clothes and personal items. She looked at me with cold fury, spitting out that I was ungrateful and ruined our family over a “hysterical woman.” I looked her dead in the eye and told her that her web of digital lies and physical cruelty had finally run out of road.
