Chapter 3 - The Proposal and the StormWhen Alexander confessed his love upon returning home, Araceli was frightened.

âSir⌠you are the sky⌠and I am the earth,â she whispered. âAnd⌠I have many heavy responsibilities.â
But Alexander did not back down. He said: âI know everything. And I accept itâyou, and your children too.â
Little by little, Araceliâs heart melted. Their relationship became a spectacle for the entire region. Alexanderâs mother, Mrs. Carmen Montoya, erupted in fury:
âAlexander! You are going to destroy our family's honor! A servant⌠with three children? Do you want to turn the estate into an orphanage?â
His high-society friends also mocked him behind his back: âBrother, congratulations⌠youâre already a father of three. Get ready to support them.â

But Alexander stood firm. They were married in a small church in a simple, elegant ceremony. During the vows, tears ran down Araceli's cheeks.
âTruly⌠you wonât regret this?â she whispered. âNever,â Alexander said, squeezing her hand. âYou and your childrenâyou are my world now.â
