đŹ PART 2: "The Wife Who Stole His Eyes" - Full Story
The silence in the garden became heavier than any scream.
The man stood up slowly, still blinking at the world he thought he had lost forever.
His wife stepped back.
âPlease,â she whispered. âYou donât understand.â
The little girl moved closer to him and held out a small bottle.
âI saw her hide this in the kitchen,â she said. âMy mom used to work here. She said never to drink what your wife gives you.â
The man stared at the bottle, then at his wife.
âFor three years,â he whispered. âYou let me believe I was blind.â
Tears filled his eyes, not from the sunlight, but from betrayal.
His wife started crying.
âI did it because I loved you.â
The manâs face hardened.
âNo. You did it because while I couldnât see, you could steal everything.â
The little girl lowered her eyes.
âMy mom tried to tell you,â she whispered. âThen she disappeared.â
The man froze.
âWhat was your motherâs name?â
The girl looked up at him, scared now.
âAnna.â
The manâs knees almost gave out.
Anna was his nurse.
The only person who had begged him not to trust his wife.
The only woman his wife said had run away with money.
He looked at the childâs face and saw the truth before she said another word.
The same eyes.
The same small scar.
The girl whispered, âShe told me if I found you, you would know who my father was.â
The man looked at his wife one last time.

Then he knelt in front of the little girl, crying.
âI know now,â he said. âIâm your father.â
