Months passed.
Caleb sought help for his anger and grief. Katherine slowly learned to trust again.
One evening, Grace found them in the kitchen, laughing softly while baking bread—just as Katherine had done the day she first came to their home.
Caleb looked at her, and for the first time in years, his eyes were clear.
“I almost destroyed the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Grace smiled through tears.
